Job Summary
Join our vibrant team as a Swim Instructor at LA Fitness New Tampa and inspire confidence, safety, and a love for water in learners of all ages! In this energetic role, you will deliver engaging swimming lessons that promote skill development, water safety awareness, and physical fitness. About Us:
aquaDucks Swim School USA, a proud member of the United States Swim School Association (USSSA), is dedicated to teaching lifesaving water skills with a focus on safety, fun, & technique. Founded in Singapore in 1989, our family-owned swim school’s success in Asia has allowed us to bring our unique swim program to New Tampa, Florida. We are proud to cater to swimmers of all ages & skill levels, from 6 months old to adults at LA Fitness New Tampa!

We are looking for happy, enthusiastic & responsible Swim Instructors who are passionate about working with kids & water safety. As a key member of our team you will play a crucial role in helping students develop essential swimming skills & water safety awareness. We offer in-house training & professional development opportunities to help you excel in your role & support your growth within our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging & fun swim lessons to groups of 2-4 swimmers following the aquaDucks curriculum.
• Exhibit commitment, flexibility, & honesty in all interactions.
• Maintain punctuality & responsibility for class timings & duties.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, & energetic learning environment. Ensuring the safety of all students during lessons by maintaining vigilant supervision & adhering to established safety protocols.
• Collaborate effectively as a team player, supporting fellow instructors & staff.
• Commit to continuous learning & improvement in swim instruction techniques.

Qualifications:

• A positive mindset, sound judgment, & a commitment to a diverse & respectful workplace.
• Strong communication, leadership, & organizational skills.
• Prior coaching or competitive swimming experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to connect with & inspire young children.
• Genuine passion for water safety & working with children & adults.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekdays & weekends.
• Willing to pass a background check before starting employment.
