McKinley is looking for a motivated and energetic Associate Director of Operations to join our team in Residential Owned located in our Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, Michigan portfolio!

An Associate Director of Operations is responsible for leading a group of Community Managers to achieve Customer Service standards and Net Operating Income objectives. You will spend the majority of your time at the front lines of the business, on-site at our apartment communities, walking product and evaluating performance.

Focus & Assignment:

• Major focus on rent growth and delivering extraordinary customer service
• Your portfolio will consist of (3-6 assets) and your territory will frequently change based on changing priorities
• You must gain trust and motivate teams while objectively holding them accountable for excellence

  Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Evaluates performance of their own team and team members objectively and critically.
• Delivers high quality written and verbal feedback in a constructive way. Does so frequently.
• Mastery of best practices across all operational topics (sales, renewals, work orders, turns, expenses, collections) and the ability to hold others accountable to these standards.
• Needs to be very organized and have a high degree of follow through; there can be no slack in the execution of objectives.
• Leads by example through outstanding customer service.
• Takes direction and feedback very well, craving learning opportunities and personal development.
• Demonstrates a very clear understanding of expectations for product excellence.
