Job Description Facility: GSS MN New Hope Ambassador Location: New Hope, MN Address: 8100 Medicine Lake Rd, New Hope, MN 55427, USA Shift: 8 Hours – Evening Shifts Job Schedule: Full time Weekly Hours: 30.00 Job Summary Come Join us at the Good Samaritan Society – Ambassador (New Hope, MN), we are a 77 bed facility specializing in Long Term and Post Acute care. Our Award winning team has received recognition from the American Health Care Association for our Adopt and Elder volunteer program and we received the Bronze commitment to quality award. This program will take a few selected people and cover the cost of a CNA course while providing full time employment as a CNA. Those who start in this role will be required to complete a 16 hour online course prior to their first day and will then have 4 months to complete an online CNA course and pass the MN CNA exam. Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities that may include, but are not limited to, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned resident. Assists the resident in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment and also provides range of motion and passive exercises. Communicates resident’s changing condition and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse. Department Details Shit times are 2:00pm to 10:00pm with every other weekends Great shift differential pay RN and LPN Scholarship opportunities after 1 year with GSS Qualifications * Minimum age of 18 * Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement * Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually.
