Reporting to the Senior Manager, Contracts and Legal Operations the Contracts Manager will be a key member of the legal team who will draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts while providing a high level of client service to our internal business partners and external parties. *please note that this position is based at our headquarters in Cambridge, MA and not available for remote work. What will you be doing?: Independently draft, review and negotiate new contracts, amendments, renewals, and terminations (Master Service Agreements, Confidential Disclosure Agreements, Consulting Services Agreements, Clinical Trial Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, License Agreements, Sponsored Research Agreements, etc.). Manage the inflow and outflow of Acceleron contracts. Coordinate requests from internal clients for various contracts and contract amendments with outside vendors and collaborators. Serve as an internal resource for questions relating to contract related matters and other matters as warranted. Track and report contract status for internal sponsors, comply with contract procedures and assure that signed contracts are accurately reflected in contract database. Commitment to operating in a highly regulated environment and industry, which requires understanding of the need for compliance with company policies, procedures and other relevant internal or external laws and regulations. Compile contract reports for legal due diligence. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and skills. Attention to detail and great follow-up skills are essential. Strong time management, prioritization and organizational skills. Demonstrable orientation toward process and management. What are we looking for?: Experience independently drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts typical of a biopharmaceutical company. BA and 5+ years of experience in contracts management and administration. Ability to understand, interpret and explain legal principles. High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Excellent customer service skills and communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines timely follow-up and follow-through.
