Our Energy Accounting team in Omaha, Nebraska is looking for a Data Entry Supervisor to lead a data entry team. The individual in this entry level supervisory role will be responsible for the maintaining quality standards and performance of the Revenue Operations team. Accountable for client satisfaction through the coordination and delegation of work to meet department deadlines. DUTIES:
• Analyze and review reports of entered or automated data for accuracy
• Post income/expenses entered or automated data to client accounts
• Maintain integrity of corporate suspense fund accounts
• Oversee maintain tracking of daily check counts
• Oversee the procedures and processes of the deposit desk
• Assist with monthly bank reconciliation
• Assist the O&G Accounting Manager and Client Accounting Supervisor
• Support and enhance best practices; periodically review the accounting policies and procedures; ensure all internal controls are implemented and operating properly
• Performs additional duties as assigned and required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Directly supervises 5-10 employees within the department
• Indirectly supervises 5-10 employees within the department
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor of Science Degree – Business, Accounting, Energy and/or Related Fields
In lieu of a degree, a combination or experience and education will be accepted
o High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate of competency and 4 years work experience
o or Associate’s Degree and 2 years work experience
• Two (2) years accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Five (5) years of professional office environment experience
• 20 hours of industry hands on learning or continuing education credits
• Proficient on Microsoft Excel, IBM Notes and Enterprise One accounting software package
• Exhibits advanced logic and resolution of exceptions

• Occasionally required to walk
• Continually required to sit; talk or hear; utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
• Occasionally (5%) travel to attend company/industry functions and business line visits as required
