Dietary Aide/Server – NO LATE NIGHTS!

Verland is hiring Exceptional People to provide Compassionate Care as a Dietary Aide at our Sewickley campus. Daytime shifts, PT and FT – NO NIGHTS This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Dietary Aide duties include:

• Exemplify outstanding customer service skills
• Work an assigned schedule during lunch time hours
• Prepare residents’ meal service trays and assist with serving lunches
• Maintain a clean sanitary environment in the Adult Training Facility cafeteria and kitchen
• Sanitize all dietary areas and equipment as needed or assigned
• Maintain a clean, neat appearance conforming to the dietary dress code
• Participate in all in-service training related to the job and/or governing regulations

• Excellent Customer Service skills
• High school diploma/GED
• Valid driver’s license, access to vehicle required
• Ability to read and understand recipes and special diets
• Two to three years experience in food preparation preferred
• Must successfully complete required clearances, physical, drug screen
• Pushing, pulling, squatting, stooping, lifting in excess of 50 pounds without restrictions

Up to 2 weeks paid training provided by Verland, to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, along with each individual’s support plan/ personal development goals that are essential to improve the daily lives of the individuals that we serve. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
