Welcome to Ellens Equipment! We are a family owned, agricultural, construction and landscaping equipment dealer with three locations in Michigan (McBain, Ithaca, and Beal City). We offer equipment repair services, parts, and sales of several different types of equipment from a variety of manufacturers (New Holland, Bobcat, KUHN, Great Plains, and more).

We re hiring an Equipment Service Manager to join our team in McBain, MI (about 12 miles east of Cadillac). In this role you will be responsible for the overall operation and profitability of the service department.

Responsibilities:

• Retain and improve overall operation and profitability of the Service Department.
• Receive and respond to incoming customer service-related calls.
• Provide accurate quotes for service inquiries.
• Manage a team of 7+ farm equipment service technicians.
• Schedule equipment repairs, both in shop and in field.
• Schedule new equipment set up.
• Finalize all repair billing and ensure correct invoicing.
• Schedule delivery and hauling of new, used, and repaired equipment.
• Schedule service technician job priorities.
• Overseeing warranty submissions.
• Conduct annual performance reviews and provide continual feedback for service technicians, both positive and negative.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma and certification from vocation or technical school.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle status, with current driver s license, and ability to operate farm/agricultural and construction equipment.
• Detailed oriented with excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Knowledge of agriculture and construction equipment.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Self-Motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Able to work extended hours as needed.
• Maintain professional and neat appearance.
• Must be able to safely operate equipment, mount and dismount equipment, safely hook-up, secure and transport equipment. Periods of extensive sitting, standing and squatting are routinely required. Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
