The Opportunity

Develops the strategic and operational plan for Mortgage and Home Equity sales that delivers an integrated, omni-channel member experience across all of FSB distribution channels (physical, virtual, digital, phone) for deeper member relationships that consistently improve member experience overall. Partners across a matrix-managed organization to influence and optimize the distribution strategy and execution across all lines of business and staff organizations. Ensures compliance, quality, and effective risk management across all channels through collaboration with key control partners in Risk and Compliance. Accountable for delivering highly competitive mortgage and home equity products and services and driving top of the funnel business growth through collaborative strategic initiatives with Marketing, USAA Federal Savings Bank and Enterprise partners

Job Responsibilities:

• Accountable for delivering highly competitive mortgage and home equity products and services and driving top of the funnel business growth through collaborative strategic initiatives with Marketing, USAA Federal Savings Bank and Enterprise partners
• Responsible for the strategic and operational plan to deliver integrated sales and service-related experiences that engage members across all interaction channels. Resolves system and process gaps to ensure delivery of business goals
• Designs, leads, and implements business transformation initiatives and projects related to the loan officer operating model in close partnership with internal stakeholders
• Collaborates with key stakeholders across the Bank and Enterprise to ensure our members’ needs are met for a lead mortgage product or a deepening product. Drives creative solutions to meet housing needs in concert with other products and services offered by USAA
• Provides the Head of Real Estate Lending with an integrated view of business performance and leads the design and execution of tactical plans to improve performance
• Leads a team whose customer sales and service is the primary goal through the highest standards of compliance, integrity, ethics, loyalty, competence, quality and fairness
• Establishes business objectives for the department and is responsible for achieving targeted business results and service levels.
• Responsible for improvement in member survey feedback by improving loan officer compliant processes
• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree

Minimum Experience:

• 10 years of experience in Real Estate Sales working with various mortgage products, services and systems, with a proven track record leading comparable strategic operations in a mortgage product P&L to include setting operational policies/procedures and resolving critical regulatory compliance issues within a highly regulated financial services industry
• 8 years of people leadership experience in building, managing and/or developing high-performing teams
• Executive-level risk management acumen in the areas of mortgage operations, industry practices and emerging trends including understanding of issues related to the regulatory environment (FRB, OCC, FDIC)
• Experience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions, and managing work to achieve strategic goals required
• Experience managing work and influencing business outcomes in a matrix managed work environment
• Knowledge and application of federal laws, rules, and regulations to include: HMDA, TILA/REG Z, RESPA, FDPA, Reg B/E, SCRA

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Consumer Direct Mortgage Sales and Strategy
• Success in developing, implementing, and improving Consumer Sales Channels
• Proven track record of increasing Mortgage sales volume and efficiency within a Financial Institution (Bank)

Compensation:

USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $ 274,700 – $ 494,400

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.

Long Term Incentive Plan: Cash payment for Executives only representing a cash payment which is both time and performance based
