If you are a Lab Supervisor with experience, please read on! Laboratory Supervisor manages all aspects of a metal finishing laboratory including lab personnel, policies, procedures, standards, and perspective equipment. The Lab Supervisor will focus on meeting safety, environmental, and quality requirements as well as lab productivity in a metal finishing organization. This position is considered a working supervisor position.
Responsible for training all lab technicians and allocated personnel on all lab procedures and equipment.
Ensures that all laboratory process control systems and procedures are in compliance with the requirements established by the quality department, NADCAP, and/or customer specifications.
Provide daily supervision and leadership to ensure jobs are completed to the mandated quantity and quality requirements. Also ensure that all finished material conform to quality standards and/or customer specification.
Assists in the planning and coordination of process/program development activities, chemistry research, and improvement of the metal finishing process.
Reviews specifications, modifications to test methods or procedures, solution control, parameters, and process control evaluation.
Responsible for maintaining periodic and process testing results including lab certifications.
Coordinates research and analysis activities according to applicable government regulations, manufacturing processes, or other considerations, and approves modification of formulas, standards, specifications, and processes.
Reviews research, testing, quality control, and other operational reports to ensure that quality standards, efficiency, and schedules are met.
