The 128-bed Parkridge East Hospital in East Ridge provides a full range of medical and surgical services, such as orthopedics and robotic surgery. Our 24/7 Emergency Department is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The Birth Place at Parkridge East offers a comfortable, private setting in which family’s welcome new additions. Our beautiful labor and delivery suites are spacious and offer comfortable convertible beds, refrigerators, rocking chairs, flat-screen televisions and more. Expectant and new mothers have ready access to a wide array of educational classes and support, such as lactation specialists. Our 22-bassinet level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) offers comprehensive care for babies born at less than 28 weeks gestation or with critical illnesses. Our specialized providers – neonatologists, neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists – are on-site at all times to nurture the sickest, smallest babies back to health.

The Laboratory Supervisor oversees technical and/or non-technical laboratory personnel and daily operations in assigned areas/shifts to achieve organization and regulatory requirements.

You Will:

• Your role supervises personnel, processes, service levels, regulatory compliance, and service levels in assigned areas.
• Functional areas of responsibility for your role may include, but are not limited to technical discipline areas in which department is licensed, specimen collection, specimen processing and specimen referral testing.
• You will perform technical and non-technical duties in assigned areas of responsibility as required.
• You will be responsible for achieving department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, personnel management, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra and inter-departmental activities in areas of responsibility.

Qualifications:

• Current State of Tennessee Medical Laboratory Supervisor General License required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience as Medical Technologist
• Prior Supervisory experience preferred
• Licensure in 3 technical specialty areas preferred
• Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with all co-workers, staff, patients, patient families and vendors
• Proficient computer skills, i.e. ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and other programs for creating reports
• Medi-tech experience preferred

Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility in East Ridge. We provide a full range of medical and surgical services. These services include orthopedics and robotic surgery. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department. This ED is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The facility also offers obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures. We also hold a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Specialized providers in the NICU include neonatologists, neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists. These staff are on site at all times. Visit us for excellent general and OB care!
