Part-time Seasonal Field and Trail Maintenance Worker

Hiring Range: $12.82 – $14.82 per hour

Nelson County Parks and Recreation is seeking experienced and qualified applicants for a Part-Time Seasonal field and trail maintenance worker. Responsibilities include: maintenance on trails, park areas, and/or facility maintenance and repair, lining of various sports fields, some light landscaping, trash and debris collection, and equipment cleaning. Successful candidates must have a valid/unrestricted driver’s license and be able to operate a variety of tools and equipment associated with various trades that will be provided by the County; such as: weed trimmer, chainsaw, zero turn mower, and field line marker. Experience with tractor and bush-hog is preferred but not required. Primary employment is during August, September and October approximately 80 hours per month and on-call November – July. Current employment need is for 20-29 hours per week now through June 30, 2021 with weekend work required.
