The candidate must have experience working with environmental consultants and coordinating environmental due diligence efforts, as well as broad familiarity with federal environmental laws and associated liability regimes. Should also have experience with environmental issues in the context of capital markets and bankruptcy matters, as well as defending indemnity claims and pursuing indemnification rights. Experience handling compliance matters (including permits and permit transfers), ESG issues, and a familiarity with climate change litigation would be helpful.
