Principal, IT Operations Management

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Principal, IT Operations Management (Rensselaer, NY & Troy, NY) to oversee and manage the stability and performance of the Oracle ERP solution. Deliver Oracle ERP solutions comprised of modules for Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, Payroll, Time, and Labor as well as interfaces with satellite systems and other third-party solutions. Identify, define, and implement solutions to ensure tight data security controls for Oracle eBS, including inbound and outbound interfaces. Ensure business continuity by maintaining, testing, and enhancing high availability database systems and Disaster Recover plans and procedures. Drive continuous database improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, availability and productivity of the Oracle ERP platform. Support the daily activities of software developers and work closely with the software development team to re-architect customizations to run more efficiently. No direct reports.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Database Administration, Software Development, or a related field and 5 years of database administration experience. Experience must include: maintaining databases in the pharmaceutical industry; upgrading databases to newer versions and migrating databases between servers using various database backup/restore methods; creating database reporting solutions for business analytics; planning database capacity and storage allocation; identifying potential security vulnerabilities and patching databases to fix security vulnerabilities; assessing impact of database disasters and taking measures to protect business data; diagnosing and correcting logical and physical corruption of data and databases; analyzing and tuning database statistics and metrics to resolve performance issues; automating database maintenance tasks using O.S Schedulers, Cronjobs, and Shell Scripts; debugging and rewriting SQL and PL/SQL commands and programs; creating Architecture diagrams, capacity planning documents, disaster recovery, backup and recovery procedures, runbook; knowledge of database functioning including background processes, memory components, database parameters, storage structures, and database objects; knowledge of database replication, logical and physical corruption, and disaster recovery; Oracle eBS DBA for R12; R12 Online Patching process (ADOP); re-platforming experience for Oracle eBS; implementation experience with OCI for Oracle eBS; Oracle eBS modules including System Administration, Application Developer, XML Publisher; and Oracle eBS technology stack- Oracle Fusion Middleware components such as Weblogic Admin and Managed Servers, Apache, Oracle Common.
