Major Duties / Responsibilities:
A Senior Engineer supporting TM1 has the knowledge & experience to design and implement business functionality in their assigned Platform(s)/Product(s)/Product Line(s). They support and lead the technical direction in their product team, and can communicate future plans and direction to technical and nontechnical people. Engineers at this level can lead & deliver on assigned Epics in their supported area. They use & create DevSecOps best practices to ship high-quality code, and continue to push their knowledge.
End to End Feature Development
Develop new features and services that are medium-high level of complexity working with the product/platform/infrastructure/security team.
Design, code, test, deploy & support working software /technology component, working collaboratively with architects and other engineers.
Build systems and services that have immediate impact for our business.
Create Architecture, Estimates, Design and Code for the required business feature.
Responsible for code analysis, debugging, review and execution of unit/integration tests.
Responsible for delivering clean, secure, performant code /technology component that meets all the non-functional requirements. Create test automation scripts.
Responsible for achieving operational excellence as part of delivering feature.
Acts in Lead Engineer capacity for medium to large initiatives, prioritizing and assigning tasks, providing guidance and resolving issues.
Sets up application jobs, creates test data, and supports deployment, all at a medium to high level of complexity.
Leads discussions on design approaches to solving visible, strategic and complex business problems.
Adheres to Sarbanes Oxley compliance and all TJX Company standards as applicable.
Fully Owns Epics with decreasing guidance.
Takes initiative through identifying gaps and opportunities
Subject Matter Expert
Maintains broad knowledge in the business applications / services that comprise a given technical domain.
Has an expert understanding of the end to end business application processes in a given technical domain. Is responsible for the technical application / service roadmaps including the recommendation and initiation of IT driven projects.
Provides technical subject matter expertise and insight related to the business applications in a given technical domain.
Skills/Knowledge
Knowledge of & Experience in TM1 and PAW design, development and production readiness for medium to large implementations.
Have a mindset to think outside the box, work across organizations, and engineer creative solutions that scale to the demands of our ever-growing customer base. Take ownership and be actively engaged in the entire product lifecycle – from quick hits to full feature development.
Solid understanding of TM1 model design best practice. Write complex business logic in TM1 Rules and Turbo-integrator (TI) and able to build reports in Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) and PaX.
Experience in Linux is preferred.
Perform root cause analysis of technical and process issues.
Expert knowledge of & Experience in DevSecOps best practices and tools.
Knowledge of Security best practices and Principles.
Understanding of how Merchandise Planning solutions integrate into the end to end systems landscape is highly preferred.
Experience of authoring functional and technical design documents including performance, security and availability considerations.
Experience in IT incident and change management principles and best practices.
Ability to adapt easily to changing requirements and priorities.
