BarFly is the parent company to a number of your favorite places to eat and drink (HopCat, Stella’s, and Grand Rapids Brewing Company).
The BarFly Creative department, within BarFly’s home office, is comprised of two primary functions – Project Management and Strategy, & Design and Production. The focus is to protect, promote and steward BarFly brands through concept strategy, design development, production, and distribution of materials that support our restaurants through local, regional and brand-wide marketing campaigns, training, operations and BarFly strategic initiatives.
These efforts are all focused on strengthening and stewarding the HopCat brand, communicating with our guests, and community at large and enhancing the hospitality experience for both guests and operations teams.
We are working a hybrid schedule with about 50% of the time at our Cascade office and 50% remotely.
This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, strategic, collaborative, confident and proactive with exceptional creative problem-solving skills. The team member must have the ability to think analytically, have a drive for continuous improvement and excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Coordinates content creation for all BarFly social media profiles with a focus on video production via TikTok & Instagram, using brand voice skills to create copy for social media captions, and trend research – not limited to photo and graphic productions.
Monitor and respond to daily social media and support inbox activity. Engage with our social media community and assist BarFly Guest Relations.
Collaborate with BarFly restaurant teams to create and schedule content for effective social media postings, including special events, menu promotions, trade events, local store events, charitable endeavors, new restaurant opens, and employee engagements.
Manage digital ad campaigns across channels, which can include writing copy, making strategic decisions for audience targeting and ad placements, monitoring performance, optimizing ad-setup, and reporting.
Research and hire social media influencers for each site’s market.
Act as a role model by consistently representing and upholding BarFly core values.
Continuously improve creative development and project management processes.
Completes other projects assigned and/or needed.
Ability to travel, as required and work on weekends and occasional nights on-site for promotions and events.
Qualifications, Experience & Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field preferred and/or 1+ years of equivalent experience.
A minimum of 1 year of account management or agency experience preferred.
Experience with advertising, print, web development, photography/videography, freelance creatives.
Strong social media portfolio showcasing creativity and diversity of work.
Restaurant experience is highly desirable.
Software knowledge needed: Microsoft 365, Meta Business Suite, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and LinkedIn.
