Our emphasis is clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder ages 3-21. We currently specialize in developing and delivering individualized therapy designed on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA Therapy) and Skinner’s Analysis of Verbal Behavior (VB). We focus on the development of behavior, language, social/play, academic, executive functioning and adaptive daily living (ADL) skills. We empower families to acquire the necessary skills to help transfer their children’s learning across all environments. It is our overall goal to help clients have as much functional independence as possible. This is possible through the multi-disciplinary approach and teams consisting of BCBAs, RBTs, SLPs and OTs.

Basic Duties/Specifications

• Provide 1:1 speech therapy in accordance with the client’s individual treatment plan either in clinic, school, or community setting.
• Collaborate and communicate professionally with family and treatment team members to provide effective treatment and without disruption.
• Will maintain a clean and organized environment, to include cleaning after one’s self and client.
• Attend all mandatory scheduled meetings and those requested by supervisor.
• Efficient and accurate data collection must be taken as immediately as possible.
• Participate and contribute to in-service training and staff meetings.
• Consistently build strong relationships with parents and other professionals.
• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language and cognitive-communication disorders.
• Maintain client confidentiality, protect personal information, and understand the importance of ethics.
• Submit complete session notes in a timely and efficient manner.
• All employees must become certified in Safety-Care annually with a trainer at SLC. Paid opportunities will be provided.
• Place client needs above all to ensure effective and ethical treatment.
• Develop and complete individualized treatment plans.
• Actively monitor client progress by analyzing data and graphs.
• Maintain familiarity and complete requirements set forth by licensure boards and state regulations.
• Incorporates feedback from supervisors into daily work assignments; attitude, approach, implementation, work ethic, etc.
• Ability to give feedback appropriately and professionally according to audience.
• Demonstrate professionalism by adhering to organizational policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Experience providing speech therapy
• Master’s Degree from an ASHA accredited university
• Appropriate state licensure or ability to obtain appropriate state licensure (preferably a CCC-SLP)
• Ability to evaluate and diagnose speech, language and cognitive-communication disorders
• Ability to treat speech, language and cognitive-communication disorders
• Willing and able to bend, sit, stand, and play with children while providing therapy
• Maintain client confidentiality, protect personal information, and understand the importance of ethics
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, ability to pass background check/drug screening
• CPR Certification
