Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an exciting career opportunity for a Staff Systems Engineer Architect – Mission Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida. Description: The Staff Systems Engineer Architect – Mission Management will work for the Mission Systems IPT and work with the other assigned IPT disciplines to implement the Mission Management Suite Architecture to include mission planning, sensors and fusion, weapons, CNI, crew systems/displays and mission processing capabilities. The engineer will support all activities in the System Engineering “V”, have working knowledge and experience with MBSE, digital engineering and Agile design methodology. The engineer should have subject matter expertise in sensor, electronic warfare and/or communications systems development, with an emphasis on hardware design, integration and test. In this position the engineer will also be the primary interface to the MBSE/SEIT IPT and represent the Mission Systems IPT interests. We are looking for self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented people to help us grow our services and become even better at what we do.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and at least 14 years of relevant engineering experience ORMaster’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and at least 12 years of relevant engineering experience ORPhD degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and at least 9 years of relevant engineering experienceDemonstrated experience with MBSE and the Mission Management Suite ArchitectureExperience with sensor, electronic warfare and/or communications system development with an emphasis in hardware design, integration, and testMust hold a minimum of an active, in-scope Top Secret level DoD security clearance with issue or reinvestigation in the last 5 yearsMust have the ability to obtain and maintain special program access as required by the business to meet program objectives Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrates broad technical expertise including multiple patents, disclosures or relevant technical awards or external publications/presentations or internal presentations for the benefit of fellow employees as well as program-related documents and publicationsexperience developing plans and working in an Agile Design Methodology environmentDemonstrated experience with project management, customer and cross-project coordination efforts Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
