We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Quality Engineer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality of our engineering products and services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of quality standards, procedures, and techniques to maximize efficiency and minimize defects. This role will be an integral part of our engineering team, working closely with various departments to ensure the delivery of exceptional quality products to our customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement quality control methodologies to enhance the production process.
2. Lead a team in identifying product defects and deviations, and implement corrective actions to rectify issues.
3. Conduct root cause analysis to determine the source of product defects and develop strategies to prevent similar issues in the future.
4. Perform regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, and 6S within the organization.
6. Apply FMEA methodologies to anticipate potential product failures and mitigate risks.
7. Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.
8. Coordinate with the manufacturing team to ensure extrusion processes are in accordance with quality standards.
9. Participate in the development and execution of training programs regarding quality standards and regulations.
10. Oversee and manage the CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) system.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a quality engineering role within the engineering industry.
3. Certified ASQ Quality Engineer or Black Belt certification is highly desirable.
4. Proven experience with FMEA, Corrective Actions, 6S, 5S, Kaizen, and CAPA.
5. Strong knowledge of ISO standards and experience in supplier quality management.
6. Experience with extrusion processes and related quality standards.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong emphasis on root cause analysis.
8. Ability to lead a team and foster a collaborative working environment.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Strong analytical and statistical skills with attention to detail.
