Property Type: Brand-New Build-to-Rent (BTR) Community
Reports To: Community Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Leasing Consultant to join the team at a brand-new build-to-rent community in the East Valley. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new community from the beginning and play an important role in creating a strong leasing presence and exceptional resident experience.

The Leasing Consultant will be responsible for generating interest, building relationships with prospective residents, conducting engaging community and home tours, following up with leads, and converting prospects into new residents. The ideal candidate is personable, energetic, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment.

This role is about more than leasing homes. It’s about creating a welcoming experience, showcasing the lifestyle our community offers, and helping prospects feel confident that they’ve found the right place to call home.

Essential Responsibilities

• Welcome prospective residents and provide a warm, professional first impression of the community.
• Respond promptly and professionally to phone, email, website, and walk-in inquiries.
• Conduct personalized tours of model homes, available homes, amenities, and the overall community.
• Build strong relationships with prospects by identifying their needs and matching them with the right home and community features.
• Follow up consistently with prospects throughout the leasing process to maximize conversions.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of prospect activity, traffic, follow-up, applications, and leases in the property management system.
• Achieve individual and community leasing goals, including occupancy, traffic, conversion, and closing ratios.
• Assist with creating and maintaining a strong lease-up pipeline through proactive outreach and lead generation.
• Participate in outreach and marketing efforts to generate traffic and build awareness of the new community.
• Develop relationships with local businesses, employers, organizations, and referral partners.
• Assist with resident events, community activities, and other initiatives designed to build engagement and a strong sense of community.
• Maintain model homes, leasing areas, amenities, and common areas to ensure they are consistently presentation-ready.
• Assist prospects with the application and move-in process and provide excellent customer service throughout.
• Stay knowledgeable about pricing, availability, lease terms, community features, amenities, and local market conditions.
• Monitor competitor communities and provide feedback regarding pricing, promotions, amenities, and leasing activity.
• Assist the Community Manager and team with daily operations and special projects as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies, Fair Housing requirements, and all applicable laws and regulations.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous leasing, sales, hospitality, customer service, or related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A genuine passion for helping people and creating exceptional customer experiences.
• Confident, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with new people.
• Strong sales and closing skills with the ability to turn leads into leases.
• Highly organized with excellent follow-up and time-management skills.
• Comfortable working toward measurable goals and performance expectations.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency with computers, email, Microsoft Office, and property management or CRM systems.
• Ability to work weekends and occasional evenings as required by the business.
• Arizona real estate or leasing experience is a plus, but not required.
