Description:

Best One Fleet Service Jackson Michigan / Zolman Tire is seeking a motivated and results-driven Commercial Tire Outside Sales Representative to develop new business opportunities and grow existing commercial fleet accounts throughout the Jackson, Michigan market. This position is responsible for selling commercial tires, preventive maintenance services, fleet solutions, emergency road service programs, and value-added services to trucking, construction, agriculture, manufacturing, waste, and local fleet customers.

The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, customer-focused, and passionate about building long-term business relationships. This role requires regular travel throughout the territory, proactive prospecting, account management, and collaboration with operations teams to ensure exceptional customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with commercial fleet customers.
• Prospect and secure new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and in-person sales visits.
• Conduct fleet evaluations and identify opportunities to reduce customer operating costs.
• Sell commercial tire programs, retread solutions, preventive maintenance programs, roadside service, and mechanical repair services.
• Prepare customer quotes, bids, fleet proposals, and service agreements.
• Conduct regular account reviews and business development meetings with customers.
• Work closely with Commercial Managers, Service Advisors, and Operations teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Utilize CRM and sales reporting tools to document customer activity and pipeline opportunities.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and community functions when appropriate.
• Meet or exceed established sales, gross profit, and account retention goals.
• Assist in resolving customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Promote Bridgestone Fleet Care, national account programs, and other strategic commercial initiatives.

Requirements:

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.
• Previous B2B outside sales experience preferred.
• Commercial tire, automotive, transportation, trucking, or fleet industry experience strongly preferred.
• Proven record of developing new business and growing existing customer relationships.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend effective solutions.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Understanding of commercial tire products, fleet maintenance, and transportation operations is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory daily.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to visit customer locations including warehouses, manufacturing facilities, farms, and trucking terminals.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle safely.

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
• Ability to maintain insurability under company insurance guidelines.
