We are currently partnering with a growing manufacturing client seeking a dependable and motivated Shop Laborer / Grinder-Finisher to join their metal fabrication team. This position plays a critical role in the production process by grinding, deburring, finishing, and preparing metal and plastic components for assembly and shipment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, arrives on time, works safely, and is eager to learn new skills within a fabrication shop environment. What You’ll Be Doing

• Grind, deburr, polish, and finish metal and plastic components to meet quality standards and customer specifications
• Operate hand tools and finishing equipment, including electric and pneumatic grinders, sanders, and buffing wheels
• Perform light assembly, tapping, and other fabrication support tasks as needed
• Inspect completed parts for defects, accuracy, and overall quality
• Read and interpret work orders, production drawings, and basic blueprints to determine finishing requirements
• Accurately use tape measures, calipers, and other basic measuring tools
• Support fabrication and machine operations to meet production schedules and workflow demands
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards
• Complete production reports, quality checklists, and other required documentation
• Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on tools and equipment
• Assist with inventory control, material handling, and movement of parts throughout the facility
• Communicate quality concerns, production issues, and material shortages to supervisors in a timely manner
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Who We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, metal fabrication, welding, grinding, or finishing environment preferred
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, electric and pneumatic grinders, and other shop equipment
• Basic blueprint and work order reading skills preferred
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure and other measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify quality issues and defects
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to follow instructions in a fast-paced production environment
• Willingness to learn new skills and cross-train in various fabrication processes
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all company safety policies and PPE requirements

What You Can Expect

• $16.00 – $18.00/hr
• Regular schedule Monday – Thursday, 5:00am – 3:30pm
• Friday, 5:00am – 10:00am
