Industrial Hygienist / EHS Consultant

Location: Greater Boston, MA
Salary: $90,000-$120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications

Occupational Services, Inc. (OSI) is seeking an Industrial Hygienist/EHS Consultant to support clients throughout the Greater Boston area. This role combines hands-on industrial hygiene work with ongoing management of customer safety programs. You will work directly with clients to identify hazards, develop practical solutions, and help them maintain effective EHS programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct exposure assessments, including air sampling, noise monitoring, and ventilation evaluations.
• Evaluate chemical, biological, and physical hazards and recommend appropriate controls.
• Develop and manage customer safety programs, procedures, and written plans.
• Conduct EHS audits, workplace inspections, and risk assessments; document findings and track corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver employee safety training.
• Assist clients with permit applications, renewals, and related EHS documentation.
• Prepare clear technical reports and communicate recommendations to client leadership and employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in industrial hygiene, environmental health, occupational safety, chemistry, biology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of industrial hygiene experience.
• Experience conducting exposure assessments and writing technical reports.
• Ability to manage multiple client projects and communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
• Experience supporting laboratory, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or semiconductor operations is a plus.
• Consulting experience and progress toward CIH certification are pluses.
