Parts Counter

We’re looking for a motivated and customer-focused Parts Counter Associate to join our team. In this key role, you’ll be the face of our parts department-working directly with customers in person and over the phone to provide expert assistance, accurate parts fulfillment, and exceptional service. Whether helping walk-ins or managing phone inquiries, you’ll play an important part in ensuring smooth, efficient operations and building long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist walk-in and telephone customers with their parts inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
• Research and fulfill parts orders, provide estimates, and process requests efficiently.
• Place daily parts orders with multiple vendors and track order statuses.
• Receive, organize, and ship customer parts orders accurately and on time.
• Communicate proactively with customers about order updates, promotions, and special offers.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify future needs.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and credit authorization procedures.
• Maximize sales by upselling and promoting relevant products.
• Handle customer concerns tactfully and escalate issues to the Parts Manager as needed.
• Keep the parts counter clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Make outbound follow-up calls and emails to prospects and returning customers.

What You Bring:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in sales or customer service.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Self-motivated and results-driven mindset.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.

Preferred:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages).
• Previous experience as a Parts Counter Associate in construction, heavy equipment, or rental industry.
• Familiarity with counter sales or equipment parts systems.
