Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a POTENTIAL opportunity for a full time Psychiatrist at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Position Details: – Monday Friday, (Currently M-F, 8:00am to 4:30pm) – On-site care for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) beneficiaries – Inpatient settings – On Call Hours = Nights, Weekends, and Holidays Key Responsibilities: – Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to veterans. – 6 patients for an hour each or roughly 12 patients for one half-hour each; or any combination of one-hour and one-half hour appointment per day totaling 6 to 6.5 – Direct Patient Care: estimated 90% – Scope of Care Physicians shall be responsible for: Inpatient Care: All psychiatrists will be required to work in collaboration with Mental Health staff who are part-time or full time salaried by the VA for inpatient care duties – Operating and collaborating physicians patients – Seeing 1C/1D Psychiatry Service – Ward Patients – Admitting and Diagnosis of patients – Developing Treatment Plans – Managing, including the performance of timely treatment – Discharge/Transfer all needed medical record documentation Qualifications: – Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist: Active certification or eligibility required. – Valid medical license in any U.S. state. – Current and unrestricted DEA license. – BLS thru the AHA or American Red Cross At Spectrum, we utilize over thirty-five years of experience providing optimal solutions for federal agencies that are both innovative and cost-effective.
